FRANCIS G. CLAX MOTOMETER EXHIBITION
NOW until September 8th, 2018
Ontario County Historical Society Museum
Canandaigua, NY
MotometerCentral™ Founder and the leading motometer artifact preservationist is making his extensive collection available to the public through an exhibition at the Ontario County Historical Society Museum in Canandaigua, New York.
On display are the earliest manufactured motometers and dozens of rarely seen original manufacturer documents beautifully arranged to tell the complete story of their origin and automotive industry significance and contributions.
Perfectly situated in the museum's 104 year old original building in similar age display cases the exhibition opened on February 2nd, 2018 to great fanfare and spectator awe. The museum is located at 55 North Main Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
If the best of the best in motometers aren't enough almost every one is accompanied by the correct rare radiator badge/emblem, company employee badge, tool check tag or some other direct artifact that corresponds directly to the logo on the motometer. Radiator badges, themselves, are rare and highly sought after automobilia collectibles, having matching sets of so many many of the 200 plus defunct automobile companies of the 1920s is rather unprecedented while greatly adding the aesthetic appeal of the overall exhibition.
The exhibit is free to the public during regular museum hours (www.ochs.org) and groups may arrange exclusive guided tours by contacting the museum.
Seminars have also been developed and scheduled to further support the museum's exhibit education program and enhance early auto enthusiast knowledge on the subject.
The Ontario County Historical Society Museum is a 501 C (3) charitable corporation. Donations are accepted, appreciated and tax deductible.
We look forward to seeing you there!
