MOTOMETER SEMINAR SERIES

MotometerCentral™ Founder and CEO, Francis G. Clax will be hosting a series of seminars on motometers to help educate the public at the Ontario County Historical Society (OCHS) Museum and affiliated Wood Library in association with a seven – month long exhibition of his extensive motometer collection.  The OCHS Museum is located at 55 North Main Street in Canandaigua, New York and the Wood Library is located at 134 N Main St also in Canandaigua, NY [website http://woodlibrary.org/].

Each seminar shall be made as interactive with attendees as feasible and possible using rare authentic examples to demonstrate their period (1914 – 1932) original appearance and functional operation.

No one of our time is more knowledgeable or in a better position to speak on the topic of early Twentieth Century automobile radiator-mounted engine temperature indicating devices than Francis Clax.  He has single-handedly research virtually everything that there is to know about these instrumentation gauges.  He backs all of his academic and practical experience knowledge with a multitude of best gauge examples no matter how rare, limited in production, earliest manufactured and/or lone known surviving unit(s).

Francis has a long history of presenting on this topic dating back to 2013 at various antique and historic automotive organizational national conferences.  He has also written numerous professional papers and published magazine articles on this and other subjects.  Francis is a very popular, successful and warmly received featured speaker wherever he is booked for presentations — people like his warm, genuine, friendly and engaging direct conversational style that elevates everyone’s understanding of his topics discussed regardless of previous subject knowledge.
