OUR MOTOMETER COLLECTION’S UPCOMING MUSEUM EXHIBITION
The Francis G. Clax Motometer Collection, easily the world’s finest, most complete and auto history most significant will be the featured exhibition at the Ontario County Historical Society Museum in New York State’s Finger Lake Region.

Canandaigua is also the birthplace and childhood home of Jeep/Overland Company founder John North Willys (properly pronounced “Willis”).
The exhibition is scheduled is to open to the general public on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018. There is no charge or fee to experience the exhibition firsthand. Donations of any denomination are welcome and accepted to this registered charitable organization.
This not the first exhibition of this extraordinary collection of highly specific automobilia but it will be the most extensive featuring a greater number of ultra rare motometer artifacts on public display than ever before! You’ve seen the display on our home landing page, now multiply that some seven fold for a truly immersive experience and journey back in time!
On hand will be the oldest motometers in existence, rare and one of a kind original company documents, other motometers from around the world and large array of original advertisements plus a whole lot more. This is one large and comprehensive automobilia collection.
Already the town and tourist bureaus are buzzing about this unique opportunity all the way to Watkins Glen, NY and its speedway community.
A Grand Opening reception for V. I. P’s, invited guests and the Media is scheduled for Friday evening, February 2nd, 2018.
Automobilia and history enthusiasts and car clubs nearby, far and wide everywhere are invited to come and view the displays. Many have already begun to book their visitation dates and exclusive guided tours.
From time –to- time MotometerCentral’s™ founder and collection owner Francis Clax will be on hand to provide guest lecturer and docent services discussing and revealing copious amount of little know but definitively accurate information on the many two hundred plus patented motometer types of the early 1920s period. The Ontario County Historical Society Museum itself is situated in a historic building built in 1914 and has changed little since its completion with the exception of necessary fire and safety code upgrades and other visitor comforts and accommodations. This building is the perfect location for an exception of artifacts that had their humble beginnings around the exact same time.
Part of the Finger Lakes region internationally known for its exceptional grape vineyards, award winning wineries and cremaries provide a perfect excuse for a planned family vacation to this wonderful scenic location.
